Define what person-centered care means to you.
Person-centered care to me means looking at all individuals as a person versus defining them by their illness. I currently work in a correctional facility and am often told by my residents that they appreciate my presence because I do not give off a judgmental demeanor, you would not believe how many people thank me for just smiling at them. As a health care provider, it is my diligence to treat everyone the same no matter what the situation is, I don’t go out of my way to see why my residents are incarcerated because it is truly none of my business and not knowing….Please click here to purchase at $5
