An ethical dilemma encountered in my nursing practice would be one including justice, to include fairness, and impartiality regarding a patient’s age, ethnicity, economic status, religion, or sexual orientation, and also coercion.  I have had patients who were mistreated simply because they have mental illness(es), are homeless, and are hungry.  The fact of coercion can result in moral dilemmas, ethical questions regarding medication administration. This raises the dilemma of how to strike a balance between autonomy and beneficence (Hem et al., 2018).
